Summer Camp for Adults | 17 July 2025
July 17 – July 27

EcoTheatre’s Path
to Rediscover Wonder

When: July 17 – 27
Where: The Park Ecovillage
Ages: 19-85
The first immersive camp
experience for adults
This year we are also delighted to be hosting a camp for adults aged 19 and up. From young adults and adults who are young at heart, we now offer our Summer Camp format to a wider age range.
With increasingly bleak news-cycles on our televisions and more pressure to find all-consuming careers or work harder to survive in suffering economies, many adults lose themselves.
They lose the sense of wonder they had when younger, and they lose the joy of creating for pleasure instead of work. They lose the time and space to properly connect with themselves and with others, simply due to the demands that many of us are now met with.

Give Yourself a Much-Needed Break
Giving yourself ten days away from all of that through our Scottish Highland Summer Camp can be a tremendous act of self-care.
An escape from emails and minds filled with stress, to ten days of theatre, nature and new friends from foreign cultures. A time in the year to finally rejuvenate, reset and refresh.
Instead of meeting people for reasons of employment or partying, this is a chance to meet people over a mutual passion for nature and theatre. Meeting people over these shared passions can be a much more lasting and firmer foundation for forging lifelong connections.

Learn New Ways to Stay
Present and Grounded
Our somatic movement, breathing and meditation exercises will give you tools going forward to remain embodied, present and focused in your everyday life. It becomes increasingly vital for all of us to learn these skills.
Sucked into the wormholes of internet over-usage, information over-stimulation and society-wide sedentary lifestyles with office-centred employment, many of us are disconnected, discombobulated and disembodied.
And our practices, workshops and activities around acting, storytelling, and theatre will give you creative tools that you can tap into in other unexpected realms of life.
Come to nurture your mental health as well as your ability to come up with new ideas in your studies and work…or retirement.

Enjoy the Wild Nature of
Northern Scotland

Findhorn Village, is a quaint former fishing village and one of the most desired places in Scotland for holidaymakers. The iconic Findhorn Bay, from which sailing boats, kayakers and wind-surfers enter the nearby North Sea. Seals can be heard singing and are regularly seen up close on the beach.
The sky around Findhorn Bay feels more massive than most places. By design, no buildings there exceed two stories, and the village is on a relatively flat peninsula.
It makes Findhorn Bay a dazzling place for sunsets and sunrises. And at nighttime, because of the lack of light pollution, stars (stationary as well as shooting) and Aurora Borealis are in their full vigour in Findhorn.
Findhorn and Moray in general is one of the most sheltered, dry and sunny parts of Scotland because of its geographical situation. This translates into bright and sunny days throughout the summer camp season. In short, you will love it here!
A World-Renowned
EcoVillage Nearby
As if there wasn’t enough to make this location sparkle, Findhorn Village is also walking distance to one of the first and largest Ecovillages on the planet. Findhorn Ecovillage also happens to be the single largest intentional community in the UK.
Renowned for ecological building, renewable energies, organic food and ecological water systems, Findhorn Ecovillage has been ahead of the curve for decades.

With buildings of all sorts of shapes and colours (beehive, whisky barrel, and Hobbit-like houses), a walk through Findhorn Ecovillage really feels like a trip to Wonderland.
Many artists live here and have visited over the years. It is a place ripe for inspiration. And what’s more, there are regular theatre, music, dance and meditation events to ignite the spirit.

Cosy Accommodation
This year, our adult Summer Campers will stay at ‘Bunkhouse’ and ‘the Guest Lodge’ in the Findhorn Ecovillage. Usually £109 per night self-catering, it’s a bargain to have your meals and Summer Camp Activities included in your T7D booking.
These buildings have central-heating powered by solar thermal panels, and electricity powered by a combination of windmills and gas. They also have WiFi.
By staying here, you’ll be in the very centre of Findhorn Ecovillage, surrounded by gardens and vibrant eco-houses. You’ll get to witness first-hand life in this unique intentional community.

Healthy and Yummy Food
The food that will be provided over the 10 days will be vegetarian, and mostly fresh organic. We can also cater to any gluten-free and allergy requirements.
It might not be everyone’s preference to go 10 days without having meat in meals. However, with the time pressure often put on 19-85 year olds, this is a chance for you to have fresh and healthy meals cooked for you for 10 days.
It could be a well-needed detox from fast food, junk food and microwave meals for you. It might also be an opportunity for meat-eaters to experiment with a vegetarian lifestyle for 10 days to see what it’s like.
Many millennials and Gen Z wish to make the leap to vegetarian eating for environmental, health or ethical reasons, but just haven’t had a period in their lives where they have access to consistently high-quality, professionally-prepared vegetarian food for such a considerable swathe of time.
Our varied, balanced meals will include homemade soup, locally baked bread, and fresh vegetables and fruit that are largely sourced from farms in the surrounding area.
Meals will be prepared by Desie, a professional chef who is accustomed to cooking at least weekly for large groups of people in the local community.
