A Normal Boy

What would you do? How would you make it right? Don’t say anything. It is not your opinion that I want. Just sit with me. Play lego with me. Put the pieces together, build me a space ship, build me a future with answers that don’t hurt.

Showcasing Real Youth Stories: Fosters emotional intelligence and personal reflection through theatre, giving space for young people to see themselves represented and participate in discussion.

About the Performance
A Normal Boy is a 60-minute solo show. The play can be staged in a wide variety of spaces, including theatres, school halls, community rooms, or other non- traditional venues. Its minimalist set evokes a teenager’s bedroom environment. No crew is needed during the performance, just venue help for setup. Basic AV and projection gear are required for two short videos, with simple lighting for atmosphere. Seating should be arranged to create closeness between audience and performer. A facilitated post-show discussion is offered for reflection and engagement with the play’s powerful themes.
